The Indian Army and the Singapore Army are currently holding a month-long joint exercise called ‘Bold Kurukshetra’ at Babina Cantonment in Jhansi, in central India. The bilateral armour exercise will continue till the end of March and will involve a host of exercises and operations and will validate interoperability between the armies of both nations. The ‘Bold Kurukshetra’ exercise is an annual event between the Indian and Singaporean armies, wherein both the armies hold exercises with each other’s armoured divisions. The joint exercises will include multi-tiered planning, use of new generation equipment and joint execution of mission by artillery batteries and combat groups. The two sides will also enhance skills in the area of anti-militancy operations besides matching each other’s capability in artillery fire power.
Since the Singapore Army faces a shortage of space in Singapore for its exercises, it has been coming to India to train its army personnels and officers.
